30 Minute Cellphone Underwater Test
After removing the skins and coating the board, battery, and SIM card with Repellix, we submerged the cellphone under 2 1/2 inches of water. An unprotected phone will fail within a few seconds to a minute of submersion, but we were able to run this test the full 30 minutes without any indications of failure or loss of communications between the naked phone and its battery or SIM card.
Integrated Surface Technologies can demonstrate Repellix coatings in its Menlo Park lab today.
To date, we have conducted demos for many customers, for a wide variety of applications.
